植物气味控制技术之: 植物中和剂 Botanical Odor control technologies: Botanical Neutralizers

美国新概念的植物气味中和剂与市场上的其它中和剂是完全的不同的配方,并显然的不同于气味“遮蔽剂”。我们使用的成份都是纯的具有与气味分子进行中和能力的植物提取液,纯食物级有机化学物,和植物衍生物。NWC’s botanical Odor Neutralizers are different from nearly all other neutralizers on the market, and are clearly different from odor masking agents. NWC uses a variety of odor control plant extracts based largely on unique blends of food grade organic chemical compounds and botanical derivatives.

These materials work by either chemically-reacting with the odor causing chemicals, turning them into non-odorous insoluble salts, and/or ionically binding to them, allowing them to “wet-out” in the aqueous phase of the system and precipitate into the air. These chemical interactions occur across a wide variety of ambient temperatures, yielding outstanding odor control performance under all field conditions. Many competitive products that rely primarily on blends of essential oil fragrances are by far not as effective across such a wide spectrum of applications. Please take a look following example of products:

Odor Lieutenant: is especially effective against alkaline compounds such smells as Skatole (the odour of faeces), Ammonia, Butylamine and other noxious Amines) or neutral compounds often found in fish and dairy waste with their toxic and offensive potential. For example, these noxious Amines react with the amphoteric and organic acids in the product as shown in this equation.

NH3 (ammonia-alkaline) + Odor Lt. = CH3COONH4 (amine salt) or RCH2CONH4

GH3SCH3 (neutral compounds) + Odor Lt. = ADSORPTION PRODUCT (NON VOLATILE)

Odor Corporal: is composed of a specially built amphoteric surface-active agent, organic food acid, Amine(Monoethanolamine) and an organic salt that extracted from different plants. It attacks strong acid odors like hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptans, and other gases associated with sewage and fatty wastes. As one of NWC’s Botanical Odor Neutralizing Infantry Combatants, Odor Corporal also has various emulsifying agents which help with the dispersion of oil and reduces fat build up on machinery, reducing maintenance costs and prolongs equipment life. It is designed to neutralize hydrogen sulfides using the following reaction:

H2S (hydrogen sulfide) + Odor Corporal = RNH3SH (amine-bisulphide salt)

Odor Sergeant: is one of NWC’s top bonatical neutralizers . Unlike conventional odor control products based on essential oil fragrances that volatilize fairly quickly, Odor Sergeant is supplied as an almost 100% solid concentrate that, even after dilution with water, provides effective odor control performance for several days without having to be reapplied or re-misted. Product, Odor Sergeant, contain special blends of a naturally occurring botanical extracts and other food grade organic chemicals that can sequester or suppress hydrogen sulfide gas. Odor Master Sergeant works on H2S gas by uncoupling the electron transfer process in the sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) that are producing this toxic chemical. When this metabolic pathway is blocked, the SRB are incapable of reducing sulfate to H2S.

 

为什么不宜使用“遮蔽剂”Why not to use: masking agents

气味遮蔽只是用一种气味代替另一种气味。一个普通的例子是用一种水果味来遮蔽现有的嗅气。气味遮蔽的效果往往是气味的混合,最终香气与嗅气的混合不一定是一种好闻的气味。 气味遮蔽不是化学地中止气味源,而是准许嗅气的存在。有些有害的气味源,如硫化氢和氨气,如用另一种香气把它遮住后,使有害气体仍存在于环境中,而使您感觉不到,这对人造成的危害会更大。 我们强烈地建议我们的顾客,不要依赖于气味遮蔽剂。而我们愿用我们的优良服务为您提供一个完善彻底的解决您的气味问题的方案。Odor masking merely substitutes one odor for another. A common example of this is placing a fruity odor over an existing bad odor that might be coming from the waste. Odor masks typically “mix” odors but the net result may be a combined fragrance that is not at all pleasant to smell. Odor masks do not chemically “stop” the odor at its source, but rather allow it to persist. Some odors are especially toxic (hydrogen sulfide, ammonia). Masking such malodors with a nice fragrance does not minimize the exposure of personnel to the health hazards of these chemicals, and can result in a potentially dangerous situation. So, we strongly advise all of our customers not to rely on masking agents, but rather work with their NWC sales representative in determining which of our Odor Battalion combatants will work best for your particular situation.
